Bagito Group Celebrates 42nd Birthday, Miing Cries on Stage

Kapanlagi.com - Comedy group Bagito celebrates its 42nd birthday. The group consisting of Didin, Miing, and Unang held a simple celebration at Building 2 of Assyafi'iyah University, Bekasi, on Wednesday (28/10/2020). Several comedians attended the 42nd anniversary celebration of Bagito group, including Ginanjar, Taufik Lala, Tarzan, Eman Empat Sekawan, Rudi Sipit, and many others.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, Bagito group did not invite many guests, only close people. In addition, the guests who attended were required to wear masks and maintain a safe distance from each other.

"Alhamdulillah, Bagito group is still given the opportunity to exist in the comedy world for 42 years. We are still given good health and of course, in the future, we will continue to be creative," said Didin at Building 2 of Assyafi'iyah University, Bekasi, on Wednesday (28/10/2020).

1. Experience the Ups and Downs of the Comedy World

For 42 years, Bagito has experienced the ups and downs of the comedy world. Dedi Gumelar, or commonly known as Miing, still remembers the difficult journey of Bagito group. Bagito had to wait for 12 years before achieving success in the comedy world.

"When I went on stage earlier, I cried. It was not just acting. It was truly 'Oh God, we've been doing this for 42 years'. Especially during the 12-year journey, it was really felt. We got packed rice, 10 thousand rupiahs, walked from one terminal to another for a chance to perform," said Miing.

2. Mental Strength

Miing stated that Bagito's endurance for 42 years is due to the strong mental and patience of its members.

"I believe if our mental strength was weak and impatient, we would have given up. Because we were patient and persevered, and continued to be patient, eventually after 12 years, God gave us a way and Bagito became successful. We expanded to recording albums, television, films, and of course, stages. Now, we have been in the industry for 42 years," concluded Miing.
