In the view of Baim and his legal counsel, the decision of the DKI Jakarta High Religious Court granting child custody to Baim Wong is a final decision due to the absence of any appeal through cassation. Therefore, Baim feels there is no need for excessive worry.

"It's done, but Baim leaves it to me, because Baim also... Baim said 'this is already finished'. There has been a declaration of divorce, there is a divorce certificate, and actually that is the ruling from the DKI High Religious Court stating that custody is in the hands of Baim Wong. So, and it has not been challenged legally. This means there is no objection to the decision of the High Religious Court, therefore legally he has accepted it," said Fahmi Bachim in his office in the Cililitan area, East Jakarta, Wednesday (26/11/2025).

Fahmi also explained that objections to the judge's considerations should be raised during the appeal or cassation process, not after the decision has become legally binding.

So if there is an objection to the decision of the first-instance court, the legal remedy is an appeal. If we have objections to the decision at the appellate level, then the legal remedy is cassation. That is the hierarchy that must be understood," he said.

According to Fahmi, the failure to pursue a cassation legal remedy is key to understanding that Paula has actually accepted the outcome of the decision.

"So the legal effort to file a cassation has ended because at the time of the appeal decision, no cassation legal remedy was pursued. He only accepted it, resulting in what is called a divorce declaration and there is a divorce certificate that has been accepted by the applicant. That is already clear. The matter is already clear," he stated.

Regarding the latest communication with Baim about this ongoing issue, Fahmi reiterated his client's statement.

"Clearly, this commotion is due to a new problem that I have communicated about. And he also said 'this is already resolved', he said that. This means it is resolved with the declaration of divorce. At the time of the divorce declaration, his legal representative was also present," he revealed.
