Cut Tari once prohibited her child, Sidney Azkassyah, from following in her footsteps to become an artist. However, now Cut Tari has given Sidney the freedom to choose the desired career.
"We'll see their talent, if they don't want to (be an artist), it's okay. But if their talent is strong, let's see what the future holds," said Cut Tari when met in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Saturday (30/9/2023).
Cut Tari admitted that Sidney has the talent to become a model, presenter, and actress. However, she is worried that Sidney does not have the strong mentality to enter the entertainment industry in the country.
"Nowadays, it's the era of social media, different from before. Is the child mentally strong enough? If not, it's pitiful," said Cut Tari.
Furthermore, Cut Tari stated that for now, it is better for her child to focus on school. Although there are offers coming for her child to enter the acting industry.
"There are offers. But she is still focusing on school. The thing is, not everyone is capable of managing their time well. It's better to focus on one thing. Besides, my child is still shy," she said.
Sydney Azkassyah Yusuf is Cut Tari's child from her marriage to Yusuf Subrata. Born in 2007, Sydney is now 16 years old and attends high school.
Sydney is very close with Chanella Leslie, her step-sister. Chanella is the daughter of Richard Kevin (Cut Tari's current husband) from his previous marriage.
