“I feel that I have no similarities with Alissa. I had a little difficulty portraying Alissa. Before portraying her, I watched the original series again from the first season to the second season. Fortunately, I was helped by a truly great director, Mas Emil,” said Yuki Kato.
The PRETTY LITTLE LIARS series, which also addresses the issue of cyberbullying, apparently reminds Yuki Kato of her time in elementary school. It turns out that she was also a victim of bullying because of her Japanese blood.
“When I was in elementary school, my mixed Indonesian and Japanese face looked so different from my friends at school. Moreover, my name is Yuki Kato, so I experienced bullying,” she concluded.
