Because of Using Make Up, Deddy Corbuzier Made His Mother Cry

Kapanlagi.com - For those who still remember, Deddy Corbuzier has undergone a major transformation in terms of his appearance. Back when he was active in the world of magic, this father of one often appeared with his iconic gothic hairstyle and make up.

When he was a guest on Ivan Gunawan's Youtube channel, Deddy reminisced about his past. Apparently, there was a crucial reason for Deddy to wear such unusual make up.

"When I started performing on stage, I was only 19 years old. At first, because I could read people's minds during shows, no one believed me because they thought I was just a kid. So I had to look scary. How did I do that? By using make up. So when I put on make up, my appearance became scarier and people believed me more," Deddy explained as quoted from Ivan Gunawan's Youtube channel.

1. Tears of a Mother

When Deddy first wore that makeup, of course, the people closest to him were shocked. In fact, it was said that his mother cried.

"Well, from there I learned makeup by myself. My mom cried when I came with my hair like that, and then I put on makeup," he reminisced.

2. Asking for 1 Year

Deddy then convinced his mother about the reason behind that makeup. And indeed, Deddy was able to transform into a successful magician at that time.

"I told my mom like this, 'Basically, give me 1 year. If it doesn't work, I'll change it again'. Finally, it worked," Deddy concluded.
