Becoming the Gang Leader in 'PRETTY LITTLE LIARS', Yuki Kato Feels Challenged

One of them is Yuki Kato who plays an important character in PRETTY LITTLE LIARS. She portrays a gang leader named Alissa.

"Yes, I am the gang leader in this series. She knows how to make her friends feel comfortable in this friendship," said Yuki Kato when contacted by Kapanlagi recently.

1. Discussion with the Director

Yuki Kato also felt challenged to portray the character Alissa because it was different from the characters she had played before. Therefore, she chose to have many discussions with the director, Emil Heradi.

"I remember very well that the other cast members had already started shooting while I joined in the middle. I also had discussions with Mas Emil about what I had in mind, how I saw Alissa," she said.

"As actors, we can explore, how do we want to shape Alissa? What about the other characters? But we still can't stray too far from the main idea, the overall outline of the character. But playing Alissa is quite challenging," Yuki Kato continued.

2. Great Responsibility

Adapting a famous series is also a great responsibility for Yuki Kato. She hopes that this series will be liked by the audience.

"Especially since we are remaking a very famous series. So, remaking something big like this also comes with a responsibility," she concluded.

3. Synopsis Pretty Little Liars

This adaptation series takes place in a fictional town in Bali, Amerta. It tells the story of four teenagers who lose their way after their leader, Alissa (Yuki Kato), mysteriously disappears.

A year later, Hanna (Anya Geraldine), Ema (Eyka Farhana), Sabrina (Valerie Thomas), and Aria (Shindy Huang) reunite after receiving mysterious messages from a figure known as 'A'. This figure threatens to reveal their darkest secrets.
