Before Passing Away, Dorce Gamalama Visited the Mosque He Donated

Kapanlagi.com - Famous presenter Dorce Gamalama passed away on Wednesday (16/2/2022). Previously, Dorce had undergone intensive treatment at RSPP Simprug Hospital in South Jakarta. Apparently, before taking his last breath, Dorce had visited the mosque that he had endowed.

This was conveyed by the manager of Al Hayyu 63 Mosque, Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta, Ghazali Amirsyah. Ghazali said that the 58-year-old presenter had visited the mosque a few days ago.

"I think it was last Saturday, coincidentally I was visiting his house because this is his house," said Ghazali.

Dorce's visit to Al Hayyu Mosque was not too long. Ghazali said that Dorce only stopped by briefly.

"So last Saturday, I also got information that he didn't stay long. Maybe that was his last Saturday visiting the mosque," he said.

Then, Ghazali said that Dorce was a devout worshipper. Even when he was healthy, Dorce often worshipped in the mosque that had been built since 2008.

"She was extraordinary when she came here before she got sick, she always prayed. When the prayer time was wrong, she prayed. Because she was a woman, so when it was prayer time, she prayed even though sometimes she used a chair," said Ghazali.

In addition, Ghazali said that Dorce is indeed someone who always implements Sharia. He hopes that Dorce can be accepted in the sight of Allah SWT.

"He consistently implements Sharia. I don't know about other things, but what's clear is that when he prays, he prays. Even though his prayer is only sitting," he concluded.

The plan is for the 58-year-old presenter to be buried at TPU Bantar Jati, Bambu Apus, East Jakarta.

This was conveyed by the administrator of Masjid Al Hayyu, Ustaz Anan Muhajir. He said that Dorce Gamalama will be buried at TPU Bantar Jati according to the family's wishes.

"Later, he will be stacked with his cousin's grave," said Anan Muhajir at Masjid Al Hayyu, Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta, Wednesday (16/2/2022).

Regarding the burial process itself, Dorce Gamalama had requested to be buried as a woman. Dorce's wish has caused controversy. Considering that Dorce was born as a man.

"Being buried as a woman, we leave it all to Allah. It's just his wish, and it's our responsibility to take care of everything," said Anan.

Anan explained that Dorce will be buried as a man according to Islamic law.

"We all know how he was born, so we return him to his original state. Because what matters is his faith in Allah SWT, I don't look at anything else first," concluded Anan Muhajir.
