Sad news came from celebrity family Ammar Zoni and Aditya Zoni. Their father named Suhendri Zoni passed away due to liver cancer on Saturday (20/1) night. As known, Ammar is currently detained at the West Jakarta Metro Police Station for the third time due to drug abuse. Although unable to attend his father's funeral, Ammar still recited the azan and iqamah through a video call.
The funeral procession of Ammar Zoni and Aditya Zoni's father was held at TPU Kalimulya 1, Depok, West Java on Sunday (21/1) afternoon.
KapanLagi.com's camera at the location also captured the appearance of Irish Bella, who was present to bid farewell to her father-in-law.
While Irish cried bidding farewell to the late Suhendri Zoni, Ammar himself was unable to attend the funeral procession held on Sunday (21/1) afternoon.
As we know, Ammar is currently detained at the West Jakarta Metro Police Station for the third time due to drug abuse.
Although unable to attend physically, Ammar Zoni still followed the funeral process of Suhendri Zoni through a video call. Even Ammar participated in reciting prayers for the deceased before being placed in the grave.
"Brother Ammar has asked for permission to recite prayers for dad because he can't come here. So he asked for permission to video call from there. As you can see, it's Ammar's voice reciting the prayers and ikamah," explained Aditya Zoni when met at TPU Kalimulya 1, Depok, West Java.
Aditya Zoni explained that the azan (call to prayer) and ikamah (announcement for prayer) were initiated by Ammar Zoni. It was his way of replacing his absence and bidding farewell to his father forever.
"Yes, it's Bang Ammar's request because Bang Ammar couldn't attend. The three of us were supposed to be in the hole, but Bang Ammar couldn't attend, so he was represented by his voice," said Aditya Zoni.
