"Wow, it must be a family gathering. But because it’s special now, because I am really far from my family. I used to live in Surabaya, now I am alone," said Bernadya when met in the SCBD area not long ago.

"So going home must be something special because I rarely go back, unless I have a gig in Surabaya and then I go home. So this Christmas is special," she added.

2. Sharing Happiness with Gift Giving

As one of the most successful musicians in 2025, Bernadya feels grateful for her career and financial achievements. Therefore, she intends to share happiness by giving special gifts to her younger siblings and cousins.

"Since I am already earning, I will give gifts to my nieces and nephews, maybe to the younger cousins, or to my younger siblings," she said.

Bernadya recounts how much she misses the late Opa, who always enlivened the Christmas atmosphere by wearing a Santa Claus costume. "So what else, I... it seems like from the past, the one thing I always looked forward to during Christmas was always that Opa would be Santa. But now that he has passed away, Christmas in Surabaya feels different," reminisced Bernadya.

In addition to gathering in Surabaya, Bernadya also shared her family's unique tradition that they always carry out regularly every year. They have a habit of going to Batu City, East Java, to carry out a social mission. This is closely related to her mother's role, who is known to manage an orphanage in that cool city.

"The tradition is... my family and I always go to Batu City every Christmas. Always, because my mom, what is it... my mom manages an orphanage there. So we always celebrate Christmas in Batu City," concluded Bernadya.
