Bonita's Regret for Not Being Able to Accompany Koes Hendratmo in His Final Moments

Kapanlagi.com - The passing of Koes Hendratmo on Tuesday (9/7) around 10:00 AM left a little regret in Bonita, his daughter. Because when Koes Hendratmo took his last breath, she wasn't by his side.

Indeed, before he passed away, Bonita mentioned that her father had contracted Covid-19. His condition worsened because he had underlying heart disease and asthma. But he managed to overcome it all.

"I thought he was getting better, maybe I was wrong," said Bonita when met after the funeral at TPU Karet Bivak, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/7) night.

Previously, Bonita planned to visit her father in Jakarta, as she currently resides in Salatiga, Central Java.

"Just yesterday, I planned to visit his house every month, once a month, to take care of him. Because I'm in Salatiga and he's in Jakarta," she said.

1. Deceased Initially Refused Bonita to His House

But it turns out her father still didn't want her child to come to Jakarta, because he was afraid that she could still transmit the Covid-19 virus.

"After I pleaded with him several times for him to accept me into his house. Because he felt it was unnecessary and felt he was already healthy, but I insisted and finally he agreed," she explained.

"I said, okay then dad, try to get tested for Covid again to see if it's completely gone so that I can stay at dad's house. Then he said, alright. Tomorrow (today) I will get checked at the hospital," Bonita added.

2. Bonita's Regret

Unfortunately, fate had other plans, Koes Hendratmo was found unconscious in his house and after being taken to the hospital, his life could not be saved and he was declared dead.

"So the plan was that maybe next Sunday or two weeks from now I could come visit him. But it turns out, I'm just sad that when he passed away, there was no one accompanying him. That's what makes me the saddest and regretful," she concluded.
