Bringing Judges - International Exposure for Winners, This is the Fierce Competition of 160 Dancers in The Floor Throne 2023 Competition

Kapanlagi.com - The euphoria of street dance seems to be becoming a popular hobby choice for Indonesian people again. This is evident from the numerous street dance communities from all over Indonesia competing in The Floor Throne event.

There are a total of 160 dancers who are part of several groups competing for the champion trophy. The judges brought in this year are also different from before, promising international exposure for the winners.

In this event, there are four categories presented in this competition, including Dance Competition, Solo/Duo Competition, 1vs1 Openstyle Battle, and Crew VS Crew Openstyle Battle. The prizes for the winners reach Rp34 million.

"This activity is expected to provide information to the general public about the street dance scene and even open the eyes of many people about becoming a professional dancer as a career choice for young people in the future," said Archangela Lina Lukman, CEO of Étoile Dance Center during a press conference in Tangerang, recently.

1. Give New Spirit

In the same occasion, Beatricea Larisa, as the Executive Chairperson of The Floor Throne 8th edition, provides a fresh spirit for all dance lovers in Indonesia through the theme 'Now or Never'. The theme is raised to convey the message that now is the time for dancers to showcase their abilities.

Beatricea also emphasizes that with the increasing enthusiasm of participants from year to year, this momentum should not be wasted.

"The Now or Never theme is important not only for dancers to demonstrate their skills in front of the judges, but also as encouragement for all dance enthusiasts in Indonesia to have the initiative to develop the dance scene in the country," said Beatricea.

2. No Age Limit

The 8th edition of The Floor Throne becomes even more special by not limiting participation based on age. This can be seen in the Dance Competition category where many children participate and showcase their dancing and competing skills.

In addition, for the Battle category, the panel of judges is filled by prominent figures in the dance industry. Starting from Henry Link Brian, a member of the legendary Elite Force Crew known as one of the first hip-hop choreographers in the United States, Kang Dokyun, a leading popper from South Korea, to Danzel Marsono, an Indonesian representative who is currently breaking through the dance scene in the United States.
