Young actor Syakir Daulay made a film titled IMAM TANPA MAKMUM. Not only acting as the main cast, he also served as the director and producer.

Considering his position as a producer, of course, Syakir knows the expenses incurred for this film. It reached an impressive amount of eight billion rupiah.

"I made this film with a budget of eight billion. So it's a big cost, surely the headache is also big, the challenges are also very big. My hope is that this film can be liked by many people, so it's also safe in terms of business," said Syakir when met in the Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, Monday (9/10/2023).

Interestingly, with a budget of eight billion, Syakir said that the capital for the film IMAM TANPA MAKMUM has already been returned. Even though the romantic drama will only be released in theaters on October 19.

"Because of making this film, the money left in my ATM was only six thousand. Well, that's funny. But Alhamdulillah, the money has been returned, we haven't aired yet but the capital has already been returned," explained the 21-year-old youth.

Making a film with a budget of up to eight billion, of course Syakir Daulay faced opposition from his family. But in order to realize his dream, he dared to move forward.

"Wow, a lot, everyone opposes it, no one agrees. Parents are always worried, right? Maybe because I'm still young, there's a disbelief like 'Can someone at my age make that much money?'. But I believe in what I'm trying to do. Nothing is in vain," said Syakir.

Previously reported, the film IMAM TANPA MAKMUM was selected as Indonesia's representative in two international events in Beirut, Lebanon.

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Beirut chose this film to be the Indonesian film to fill the Study Abroad Fair event at the American University of Beirut on October 5, followed by a screening at the 10th anniversary celebration of MIKTA at the Lebanese University on November 1.
