Building a Music Label Together with His Wife, Judika Admits There are Often Debates

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Judika together with his beloved wife, Duma Riris Silalahi, is building a music label called Dua Anak Deo (DAD). Working behind the scenes, the Indonesian Idol alumnus collaborates with Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI).

It's not easy for Judika and Duma Riris to build the DAD music label. Although they are husband and wife, there are always debates between them regarding DAD's management affairs.

"Sometimes he (Judika) often gives in, he's right, he used to be the artist being managed but now he's managing. Musicians and businessmen are indeed difficult to unite, but now we're starting to become skilled negotiators," said Duma Riris in a virtual press conference on Wednesday (30/6/2021).

"There are also debates, I create content too, I'm creative too, this is a new area for us, so that we become experts," added Judika.

Judika's decision to establish the DAD music label with his wife was the right decision. Based on Judika's years of experience with music labels, he wanted to try his hand at being directly involved in management.

"I've had experience, I'm used to being controlled by previous labels. Now I'm my own driver, I drive my own car. DAD Dua Anak Deo, it's because both of our names are Deo, I'm used to being managed by others, now I want to make my own decisions," said Judika.

"Actually, because Judika has been with Sony for more than a decade, now it's time for him to have his own company for his children and grandchildren. Judika doesn't want to do business if he's not an expert in it, he's an expert in singing, so we created a music label," added Duma Riris.

2. There Are Already Talented Singers

Until now, there are already talented singers who have joined DAD, namely Dnanda. She is a young singer who has participated in the Indonesian Idol competition. Under the DAD label, Dnanda has released a single titled "Tak Sekedar Cinta".
