In response to this incident, the Bandung City Police admitted to negligence during the examination process. The detainees in the cell are not allowed to bring cellphones or receive visits from anyone amid the current coronavirus pandemic.
So, how are Ferdian Paleka and his friends doing after this bullying incident? When met at the Bandung City Police on Saturday (9/5), Commissioner Pol Ulung Sampurna Jaya explained that Ferdian is doing fine.

"Currently, after this incident, we conducted an examination on Ferdian, and alhamdulillah his health is still good, there is nothing lacking," said Ulung Sampurna Jaya, the Chief of Bandung Metropolitan Police.
It doesn't stop there, Kombes Pol Ulung Sampurna Jaya also mentioned that Ferdian and his friends will soon be transferred to a new cell. This is done to ensure that the situation can be safely controlled until the examination process runs smoothly.
"For now, we will separate them first, to make the situation safe. There will be separation inside," he concluded.
