Busy Being a Horror Film Producer, Vera Lasut Still Managed to Participate in an Art Exhibition

Kapanlagi.com - Vera Lasut has been known to be involved behind the scenes for quite some time. Yes, she has chosen to focus on being a film producer. Recently, she revealed that she is busy preparing for the production of a horror film.

"I am currently developing a new horror film. The story is still being worked on, but I can't disclose further details yet. What's for sure is that I will continue to produce films," she explained in a written statement.

Interestingly, amidst her busy schedule as a producer, Vera still managed to be involved in an art exhibition. The art exhibition titled EXPLORUPA EN DO NESIA: Our Appearance Today was held at JAYA SUPRANA SCHOOL of Performing Arts, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Friday (1/12).

1. Expressing Inner Thoughts

Vera Lasut always sets aside time to work in other forms of art, such as visual arts, because painting is the right medium for her to express her inner thoughts.

"For me, whether it's a film or a painting, they both have the same role, which is to convey my inner thoughts and the expression of my soul to those who appreciate my artwork. So, I am very happy to be able to paint," said the star of the film ALEXANDRIA.

"This time, I collaborated with a painter from the PERANTARA community, which means Perantau Artist from North Sulawesi. I am very happy because the name Lasut that I have is from the Mihanasa descent. So, when asked to collaborate with Perantara and JAYA SUPRANA SCHOOL of Performing Arts and MURI, I immediately welcomed it enthusiastically," added Vera.

2. Wishing for More Collaborations

There are 6 collaborating artists: Alderin Emor Mingkid, Ken Alfrits Oroh, Rico Emor, Melky Runtu, Peggy Pesik, Vera Lasut.

"In this exhibition, the venue is exclusive, as well as the guests, so I am very happy to be able to join. Hopefully in the future, there can be more collaborations with artists from North Sulawesi. Because I want to remember the spirit of Emiria Sunassa, who is a pioneer of Indonesian female art from North Sulawesi, which is to always move forward and never retreat," he concluded.
