Buzz about 'Suara Hati Istri Zahra', a Former Script Writer Expresses Hope for Indonesian Soap Operas

Kapanlagi.com - The soap opera Suara Hati Istri: Zahra has been a hot topic on social media recently. And not long ago, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) requested that Indosiar temporarily stop airing the soap opera.

Because of this, many public figures have finally spoken out about the soap opera, including Alexander Thian. Yes, the travel blogger and famous Instagrammer known as Amrazing expressed his hopes for the future of Indonesian soap operas.

As you may know, Lexy or Amrazing is a writer. And in the past, he was also involved in the soap opera industry as a script writer.

1. Weekly Soap Opera

Through his Instagram, Amrazing expressed his hope that one day Indonesian soap operas would no longer air daily, but instead air weekly like in the old days. 

"What I wish to happen in the future for the world of Indonesian soap operas: Our soap operas are no longer daily. Just change it to weekly like in the past. For example, one day there are 3 slots for soap operas, with the current system, only those 3 soaps are aired every day. But if it's weekly, three different titles can be aired in one day, so in a week there can be 21 titles. Every day, three different titles are aired. Can you imagine how lively our shows would be and how many choices there would be?," 
wrote Alexander Thian in his recent Instagram story.

2. Higher Quality Soap Operas

He also revealed that with a weekly airing schedule, he believes that Indonesian soap operas will produce many high-quality soap operas, and there will also be more actors in soap operas. 

"This is just one TV station, you know. Imagine if everyone agrees. Wow. I can't imagine the competition. It would definitely be exciting. Plus, there would be more job opportunities. Production houses would compete to create good stories because they have enough time to develop the story and shooting duration. The number of actors in each series would also increase. Diverse. Many choices. New talents would emerge," he said. 

"Each title doesn't need to be too long. Just make it a season system like Western series. One season with 10-24 episodes seems reasonable, right?." he added.
