In one episode of Denny Sumargo's podcast uploaded on Thursday (29/10/2020), Richo finally revealed his reason for never wanting to clarify unpleasant issues about him. He expressed that nowadays everyone has the right to voice their opinions.

"Why don't I defend myself, maybe because in my opinion, you know when someone, um, you know, we live in an era where it's your right to say anything, whether you want to bring someone down, speak harshly, or speak kindly, it's your right," he said in the video.

1. Do Not Want to Respond to Negative Issues

Furthermore, Richo admitted that he did not want to defend himself against an untrue issue. He felt that there was no need to respond to it as long as he knew who he really was.

"But for me, why should I defend myself for something negative and something that I believe is wrong. If I know myself as a good person and doing the right thing, I don't need to defend myself for something that I believe is like something unreal or untrue," he continued.

2. Feeling Hurt

Although he admitted that he did not want to defend himself and respond to the negative news about him, Richo also admitted that it could hurt him. However, he still did not want to clarify the matter because for him, everyone has the right to have an opinion about anything and anyone.

"Yes, I think it can hurt me. Everyone is allowed to believe and say what they want," he added.
