Celebrate Christmas Differently, Melaney Ricardo Doesn't Want to Take Risks for Her Family

Kapanlagi.com - Christmas is just around the corner, and this is certainly eagerly awaited by all Christians. However, for Melaney Ricardo, this year's Christmas celebration is not like previous years because of the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic.

To celebrate Christmas, Melaney Ricardo's family still continues the tradition of exchanging gifts. However, this habit is done as safely as possible to avoid exposure to the Covid 19 virus.

"We still exchange gifts, but we buy the gifts online, everything is done in the safest way possible to prevent unwanted things from happening," said Melaney Ricardo when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, Thursday (17/12).

1. Not Going Abroad

In addition, Melaney admitted that she was sad because this Christmas she and her family could not go on vacation as they usually do every year. Not only that, because she didn't want to take any risks for her family's health, this 40-year-old woman admitted that she routinely undergoes a swab test every week.

"Sad, usually during Christmas we go on a trip with the children abroad, but not now," she said.

2. Not Willing to Take Risks

Although many people are brave enough to travel to other cities, even abroad. But Melaney chooses not to do it because she is super cautious after testing positive for Covid before.

"Because I still see many people going to other cities but for me, I don't want to take the risk because now the cases of Covid transmission are increasing a lot. Even my family and I undergo a swab test every week," she concluded.
