Challenged to Religious Debate by Jerinx SID, Ahmad Dhani: I Don't Know Him

Previously, Jerinx said that religion is a conspiracy. From that statement, the founder of DEWA 19 became angry and gave his comment.

Through the YouTube channel MOP Channel (13/5), Ahmad Dhani finally gave his opinion. It turns out he admitted that he doesn't know Jerinx SID. What is his explanation?

1. Ahmad Dhani's Confession

In his video, Ahmad Dhani discusses his feud with Jerinx SID regarding the chat that was spread through Instagram. He said that Jerinx's behavior has violated personal boundaries.

When asked if he knows the SID drummer, Al-Ghazali's father admitted that he doesn't know him at all.

"No, I don't know him. I know the name of the band. But I have never met him," answered Ahmad Dhani.

2. Avoiding Religious Debate

Furthermore, Ahmad Dhani admitted that he avoids challenges to engage in religious debates. This is because it is not in accordance with the religious law he follows.

"In Islam, religious debates are prohibited. So many Muslims do not know that religious debates are prohibited in Islam. It is forbidden, not only among Muslims but also interfaith debates. It is actually prohibited in Islam. That's why my YouTube videos are important, as you say, why don't I respond. Because I want to educate the nation and the country. So that Indonesian people know that religious debates are prohibited in Islam," explained Ahmad Dhani.
