Kapanlagi.com - Elvira Devinamira is currently enjoying her new profession as a Disk Jockey (DJ). She has even performed at various events, both domestically and internationally.
"Now I enjoy DJing, it's a hobby that pays," said Elvira Devinamira in Jakarta, Thursday (31/8/2023).
According to the holder of the Putri Indonesia 2014 title, pursuing a career as a DJ is also a proof that she possesses skills that should be recognized.
"I'm tired of people's comments, they say I'm just pretty but don't have any skills, I want to prove that I have skills and my skills are not ordinary, but significant," she said.
Becoming a DJ is also acknowledged as her alter ego from what many people have known about her.
"Actually, being a DJ is my alter ego. Because all this time, people only know me as Putri Indonesia, a sweet girl without any coolness. When I perform, I am edgy, cool, not smiling much. Tied back hair, smokey eye makeup, this is truly a different side of me," said Elvira.
According to Elvira, when she chose the profession of being a DJ, she was initially worried that the Putri Indonesia Foundation (YPI) would fire her and revoke her title as Putri Indonesia 2014.
Because being a DJ is often associated with nightlife entertainment. However, unexpectedly, YPI appreciates her profession as a DJ.
"I was worried that I would be abandoned by YPI, but it turns out I wasn't. Because I can maintain my principle of not wearing sexy clothes when performing," she said.
