Christine Hakim Calls Baim Wong a Director Who Is Not Anti-Criticism

In the press conference for the film EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE, Christine Hakim did not hesitate to shower high praise on Baim's directing style. She admitted to being very impressed with the open attitude of Paula Verhoeven's husband on set.

"One of Baim's strengths as a director is his ability to very much accept criticism and input, and to give the actors freedom to explore," praised Christine Hakim when met in Kebayoran, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (17/03/2026).

Asri Welas, who plays a complex character named Sarah, also feels the challenge as well as comfort working under Baim's direction. She believes Baim can take her out of her comfort zone.

"Baim called, 'Sri, you play, it's fun'. But when I listened to the story, I thought, can I do this? Because the character Sarah is difficult," said Asri Welas.
