Olla Ramlan Admits She Was Confused About Her Role in 'Walid 2'

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Olla Ramlan officially expands her wings to the international stage by participating in a Malaysian production series titled Walid Season 2. In this collaboration project with Viu, Olla filmed for approximately 20 days in Kuala Lumpur and several other remote areas.

"But what role will I be playing? That's still a question mark for me, whether I will be the nth wife of Walid, you know, so I'm still wondering until I finally go international. Exciting! Right? This isn't just going out of town, this is going to Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur," said Olla Ramlan in the Senayan area on Thursday (26/2/2026).

Olla shared that her curiosity was answered after she discussed more deeply with the manager. Although she only received the detailed script when she was on the shooting location, Olla felt challenged to deliver her best performance. For her, being able to join a series that has gone viral in Malaysia is a golden opportunity.

"Yes, so honestly I just finished the previous Viu Indonesia series, SKS, there’s Single Kids Syndrome. Then my manager offered me, 'Here’s a Walid series that offers me to be this character.' I asked, 'What’s the story about?' 'The story isn’t ready yet,' he said," she stated.

5. Adaptation in Malaysia

While in Malaysia, Olla had to adapt to a different work system. Although she felt tense at times, she enjoyed every moment. She experienced mixed feelings because she had to be far from her family and live in a rather remote location to get the desired story atmosphere.

"And there I filmed for about 20 days. Yes, thank God it was very tense and mixed feelings," Olla explained.

The Viu Malaysia team is reported to be very satisfied with Olla Ramlan's performance. Despite facing various physical and language challenges, Olla is considered capable of delivering a maximum acting performance.
