Onyo shared that he has received a message from Sarwendah to gather together for the Chinese New Year moment. He feels happy because this celebration also serves as a means to remember his late grandfather.
"Mom texted me yesterday that if possible, we can celebrate Chinese New Year together while remembering Yeye. So I'm happy because we can celebrate Chinese New Year together. But of course, I will also divide my time with Dad," said Betrand Peto when met in the Senayan area on Monday (16/2/2026).

Speaking of Imlek, it certainly cannot be separated from the tradition of giving angpao. As the youngest member of the family and unmarried, Onyo admits that he is still in the position of a recipient and is not yet obligated to give to others.
"Yes, right? I definitely receive angpao. But if someone is not married, they can't give to others like that. Right? Not married yet. So they can't give gifts unless it's someone's birthday, then they can give gifts," he explained.
This 20-year-old teenager reminisced about who usually gives him the most angpao. The names Ruben Onsu and the late grandfather are always at the forefront when it comes to giving gifts during this holiday.
"Oh, I forgot again (the amount). The biggest one is from Dad and Yeye. That's the biggest. I saved it. For yesterday, because I liked chicken, I bought chicken. But now I don't like chicken anymore," he said while laughing.
