Chronology of Joy Tobing Testing Positive for Covid-19, Initially Shocked and Crying

Kapanlagi.com - Joy Tobing adds to the list of Indonesian artists who have tested positive for covid-19. The singer of Karena Cinta revealed her story exclusively on the Cumi-Cumi YouTube channel, which aired on September 30, 2020.

Joy admitted that since August, she had been experiencing several unusual symptoms. However, at that time, she had no idea that these were signs of her being infected with covid-19.

"Indeed, at the end of August, I felt fever, flu, and cough. I thought it was just a normal fever, because when we're not feeling well, it's also because of the bad weather, so fever and cough are common," said Joy.

1. Had Undergone Rapid Test

Joy had actually undergone a rapid test when she was about to fly out of town according to the established protocol. And at that time, the result showed non-reactive to COVID-19.

"On September 1, my sister, along with Joshua (her son), went to the hospital for a rapid test because on September 4, my sister had an event out of town. It is required to have a doctor's health certificate if you want to fly. We took the rapid test and the result was non-reactive," she continued.

2. Symptoms Experienced Getting Worse

During her time out of town and performing, Joy's symptoms worsened. She felt a very itchy cough in her throat and woke up every morning. Not to mention, her sense of smell also started to be disturbed.

"Well, coming home from the talk show, I felt uncomfortable because in the past few days my sense of smell has been disturbed and the taste on my tongue has become strange. My sister also smelled a smoky smell like a fire. I thought there was someone smoking at the event. Because when coughing, the smell stays in the nose," added this talented singer from a talent search event.

3. Shock and Crying When Tested Positive for Covid-19

Feeling worse, Joy decided to take a swab test. And from there it was revealed that she tested positive for covid-19. Joy was extremely shocked and cried out of fear.

"In the medical field now, there is a swab test with Antigen that can immediately determine the result, and it turned out to be positive. It was a shock. I was already thinking, 'Oh God, will I be able to see the sun tomorrow' and cried," Joy concluded.
