Chronology of Leony's Father's Death, Difficulty in Getting Hospital - Died While Holding Wife's Hand

Kapanlagi.com - Leony Trio Kwek Kwek and her family are currently mourning deeply. Last Tuesday (15/6), her father named Andy Hartanto passed away. Leony herself shared the sad news through her Instagram post, although she did not mention in detail the cause of her father's death.

After calming down, Leony finally revealed the chronology of her father's departure. Several days before his death, the deceased was said to be in good health, even doing activities with his family.

"Papi was not sick at all. On Tuesday morning, he was still doing activities at home as usual. He even had time to cook porridge as requested by mommy," Leony recalled, as quoted from her Instagram story on Monday (21/6).

However, suddenly the deceased was said to have fallen unconscious due to a stroke. Of course, the family panicked upon encountering this incident.

1. Difficulty Getting an Ambulance and Hospital

Leony immediately tried to contact an ambulance for emergency assistance. Unfortunately, her efforts were in vain. Leony and her family then took the initiative to bring her father to the emergency room (ER) using their own car. However, Leony and her family's ordeal did not end there.

"The journey in the car was quite tense because my dad was unconscious during the trip and some of the ERs were full. Finally, at 13:30, at the fourth hospital we visited, we were able to enter the ER at one of the hospitals in Tangerang," she continued.

2. Given 2 Difficult Choices

After receiving treatment from the hospital, another shocking news came. Leony and her family were forced to make a decision with two difficult choices.

"Upon arriving at the ER, my dad immediately underwent blood tests and a CT scan. The results clearly showed a ruptured blood vessel in his brain that had spread to the brainstem. The doctor gave the option of surgery, but the survival rate was very low. So, whether he had the surgery or not, the risk was the same: death. Mom, my sister Richie, and I agreed that we didn't want to make Dad suffer through brain surgery. We wanted Dad to leave peacefully, accompanied by his family," she added.

3. Continue to Give Positive Messages

In the last moments with the deceased, Leony continued to provide positive messages. She hoped that her father could rest peacefully without any burdens when he went away forever.

"While in the emergency room, we immediately prepared our hearts to let go of dad. We accompanied him continuously, mom also didn't let go of holding dad's hand while we kept talking. Cynthia also accompanied dad via video call. Kai said goodbye, and we said that dad doesn't need to worry anymore because we will continue to take care of mom. And we, siblings, will continue to take care of each other," she said.

4. Passing Away While Holding His Wife's Hand

A touching scene was presented in the last moments of the deceased's departure. He passed away while tightly holding his wife's hand. Although it was difficult, Leony and her family willingly let go of the departure of the deceased.

"We just want dad to be able to rest peacefully and at 21:23, he took his last breath while holding mom's hand," she concluded.
