Chronology of Musician Oddie Agam Rushed to Hospital Due to Shortness of Breath, Condition Still Critical

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Oddie Agam had to be rushed to the hospital due to shortness of breath on Thursday (7/10). It is known that the 68-year-old singer has been suffering from a stroke since 2017.

When met at Persahabatan Hospital, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Friday (18/10), Oddie Agam's wife, Almafilia, recounted the chronology of how her husband was eventually taken to the hospital. She said that when he had a stroke, her husband often choked while eating.

"On the 5th, Tuesday night, after eating he choked. It is common for stroke patients to choke. But usually, we let him rest for a while, so he can eat again," said Almafilia.

"But, after choking, he kept coughing. Coughing until there was a lot of phlegm that couldn't come out. So, I took him to the emergency room," she continued.

1. Must Undergo Dialysis

Due to the mucus that cannot be expelled, Almafilia stated that at that time Odie also experienced shortness of breath. This ultimately affected Oddie Agam's kidneys.

"But still feeling shortness of breath, weak. The test results showed high mucus. So it turns out that the problem is his kidneys," she said.

Due to his kidney problems as well, dialysis was performed on Oddie Agam. Currently, Oddie Agam is receiving intensive care in the hospital and has not regained consciousness.

"I almost missed that too. Why didn't I know all this time? But the doctor said that kidney disease is undetectable. Until it only has 10% of its function left," she concluded.
