Chronology of Singer Anji's Arrest in His Recording Studio, Caught with 30 Grams of Marijuana

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Erdian Aji Prihartanto, also known as Anji, was arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit for drug abuse involving marijuana. According to Commissioner Pol. Ady Wibowo, the Chief of Police, Anji was arrested at his music studio in the Cibubur area of East Jakarta on Friday, June 11, 2021, at around 19:30 WIB.

"It started with information from the public about someone who was suspected of carrying, storing, and possessing marijuana in the Palmerah area. Our team conducted an investigation and then we apprehended Mr. AN at his recording studio in the Cibubur area," said Ady Wibowo at the West Jakarta Police, on Wednesday (16/6/2021).

At the arrest location, the police successfully seized evidence including marijuana, marijuana extract, rolling papers, and a speaker.

1. Speaker to Store Marijuana

"This speaker was used by the suspect to store the marijuana," said Ady Wibowo.

After examination, Anji tested positive for consuming marijuana. Anji also stated during the examination that he still had marijuana stored in Bandung, West Java.

2. 30 Grams of Marijuana Found

"The next day, Saturday (June 12, 2021), we confiscated several pieces of evidence, including marijuana seeds, marijuana stems, and a book about the history of marijuana trees in Bandung," said Ady Wibowo.

The total amount of marijuana seized from the first and second crime scenes, combined, is 30 grams. "There are 30 grams of marijuana if combined," explained Ady Wibowo.

3. 4 to 12 Years Imprisonment Threat

For his actions, Anji is charged under Article 111 paragraph 1 Sub Article 127 paragraph 1 letter a of the Republic of Indonesia Law. "The punishment ranges from 4 to 12 years imprisonment," stated Ady Wibowo.
