Cinta Laura Plays Two Characters in 'SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY', Admits It’s a New Challenge

SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY is an original series resulting from the collaboration between WeTV Indonesia and Hitmaker Studios, directed by Rizal Mantovani. Featuring themes of mystery, thriller, and psychological drama, this series promises a story full of intrigue with characters that have many layers of emotion.

Playing two characters with different personalities is a new experience for Cinta. She admits to being enthusiastic about joining the project, especially since it is her first time collaborating with WeTV Indonesia and she feels comfortable with the entire production team. "I play two characters, and I feel very happy to be part of this project. And this is my first time working with WeTV. I really like WeTV Original Sleeping With The Enemy; interestingly, this is also the first time I feel very comfortable with everyone involved in this project," said Cinta Laura.

Not only does this series present a challenge for the players, but it is also meticulously prepared by Rizal Mantovani. The director, known for several horror films, stated that each character in the story has a complex emotional side, making them not just good or evil characters.

In addition, Rizal also aims to present a different visual atmosphere through a bolder directing concept. According to him, this approach will give SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY its own identity compared to similar genre series. "A story that is exciting, intrinsic, and full of layers. These characters are actually flawed, they are broken. Maybe on the exterior or facade, they seem very strong, dominant, and able to control everything, but inside, there is a very fragile human soul," said Rizal Mantovani.

Meanwhile, the Executive Producer and Country Head of WeTV Indonesia, Febriamy Hutapea, hopes that the production process of this series goes smoothly so that it can eventually be accepted by the Indonesian public. He also requested support from the media during the shooting process. "The appearance of the cast in this title... yes, we hope to get support from our media colleagues so that the shooting process can go well and the results can be accepted by the entire market in Indonesia. Thank you," he hoped.

SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY tells the story of Aruna Wirawan who loses her family after being framed by the Sastranegara family for a crime she never committed. Twelve years later, Aruna returns with the identity of Clara and marries Revan Sastranegara for revenge. However, her plans change when she falls in love with Adrian, forcing her to choose between completing her revenge or following her heart.

SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY will be available in 10 exclusive episodes and is scheduled to air on the WeTV app in 2026.
