Cleaning the River and Beaches Sparks Controversy, Pandawara Group Claims to Never Receive Threats

Kapanlagi.com - A group of young people who call themselves Pandawara Group apparently always manages to attract public attention due to their concern for the environment. From cleaning rivers to beaches, Pandawara Group has done it all.

Although they have been involved in positive actions regarding environmental issues, there are also a few people who dislike what these five young people are doing. Often, their actions also generate pros and cons among certain communities.

1. Not Intending to Cause Chaos

However, that is not a problem for Ikhsan, Gilang, Rafqi, Rafly, and Agung. What is clear is that they never intend to cause chaos in their actions.

"The pro and contra news, we from Pandawara Group never intend and aim to cause trouble. But we are looking for unity that aims to preserve the environment," said Gilang, one of the members of Pandawara Group when met in Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta, (12/10) on Thursday night.

2. Never Received Any Threat

When asked further about the pros and cons of various environmental care content actions, Gilang emphasized that he and his friends have never received any threatening messages or threats urging them to stop.

"No, there is none. It's safe," said Gilang.

3. Not Sponsored by Anyone

Furthermore, Gilang emphasized that Pandarawa Group is not supported or sponsored by anyone. They are purely a group of local youths who are motivated by concern for the environmental damage in their area.

Therefore, with the exposure gained by Pandawara Group through social media, it greatly helps them in providing various needs for clean-up actions.

"It should be known that Pandawara is not supported by anyone, Pandawara is civilian. If we talk about what we currently have, it's like robbing Peter to pay Paul," he said.

"We receive something from entertainment and we give back to the environment because our activities require expenses. We need trash bags, sacks, not to mention food and drinks logistics. That requires a considerable cost," he concluded.
