Close Neighbor, Celine Evangelista Admits to Being Shocked Hearing About Najwa Shihab's Husband Passing Away

One of those who also feels the loss is artist Celine Evangelista. She is known to be a close neighbor of Najwa Shihab and was present at the wake in the Jeruk Purut area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (20/5).

"Just pray, I was also shocked to hear the news and coincidentally a neighbor," said Celine Evangelista when met at the wake.

1. Express Condolences

Celine came to express her condolences directly to the family. Although she did not meet Najwa in person, she hopes her presence can show empathy.

"I haven't had the chance to meet her," said Celine when asked about Najwa Shihab's condition.

According to Celine, the departure of someone is an important moment to strengthen each other. She invites the community to pray and provide support to the bereaved family.

"As best as we can, let's pray for each other and express our condolences, we pray that mbak Nana and her family are granted patience," she said.

The body of Ibrahim was laid to rest at the funeral home before being buried the next day. The burial is scheduled to take place at TPU Jeruk Purut on Wednesday (21/5/2025) at 10:00 AM WIB.

3. Called Personally

Celine, who lives just a few steps from Najwa's house, felt personally called to come. The closeness of the neighborhood made this sad news feel so close to her.
