Comedian Bedu Runs for Village Head

Kapanlagi.com - The movie SETENGAH HATI will soon be shown in all cinemas in the country on January 25, 2024. The story revolves around political conflicts in rural areas and is starred by Yusuf Mahardhika, Tissa Biani, Rachman Avri, Bedu, Mamat Alkatiri, and others.

Tissa Biani, who plays Astri, expressed her joy in being involved in the movie SETENGAH HATI. Moreover, this movie is filled with comedians.

"I had a chat with uncle Bedu because he is like my uncle. We talked as if I was his niece. There were also readings and workshops. This shooting was fun because the script, the cast, and the crew were all funny," said Tissa in Epicentrum, South Jakarta, on Saturday (20/1/2024).

1. The Third Time

In this movie, Tissa Biani acts alongside her friend, Yusuf Mahardhika, for the third time. She finds it easy to build chemistry with the 24-year-old actor.

"This is the third time with Yusuf Mahardhika. If you ask if it's difficult, it's not too difficult because we are already friends. During the shooting, we already know each other well. I am happy to be able to act with him again, he is a supportive co-star," said Tissa.

Meanwhile, Bedu, who plays Gilang, a resident running for village head, admitted to facing challenges as he is not allowed to joke around in this movie.

2. Play the Role of Gilang

"This is indeed a challenge for me, I can do comedy but not this time. I have the urge to make jokes but I can't," said Bedu.

Interestingly, Bedu is now involved in politics as a Legislative Candidate or Caleg. His involvement in politics actually started from the role he played in the movie SETENGAH HATI.

In the movie produced by Satu Selaras, Bedu portrays the character of Gilang, an active campaigner running for Village Head. According to Bedu, when they were filming this movie two years ago, he did not have any desire to get involved in politics.

3. Strengthening Determination

"Honestly, when I played in the movie SETENGAH HATI as a candidate for village head, I had not yet nominated myself as a legislative member, I hadn't even thought about it," said Bedu.

Apparently, the role in the movie SETENGAH HATI led him to strengthen his determination to become a legislative candidate.

"They say that when you engage in art, sometimes it gets intertwined with reality. When producing songs, acting in movies, it can carry over to the real world," he said.

"So in this movie, there is a connection with politics, and my heart is directed towards politics. So the earth and the sky support me," he concluded.
