Kapanlagi.com - The TikTok Awards Indonesia 2020 event was successfully held for the first time in collaboration with the RCTI television station. The event was broadcasted live on Saturday (30/1) from the RCTI+ Kebon Jeruk studio in Jakarta.

This event was presented to appreciate the TikTok creators who have provided entertainment to netizens throughout 2020. There were a total of 14 award nominations announced, with 6 of them based on audience votes (Public Vote), while the other 8 were judged by the jury (Judges' Choice).

Sandiaga Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, is one of the judges in the TikTok Awards Indonesia 2020. According to him, TikTok is a platform that can be used as a tool to educate, not only entertain, but also provide information about tourist destinations and in terms of the creative economy, there is a new profession, which is a content creator.

"I want to encourage this to create more job opportunities, promote the best tourist destinations in Indonesia, and drive the creative economy," said Sandiaga Uno.

MNC Group also strongly supports the TikTok Awards Indonesia event. The hope is that this event can be a catalyst for other creators to continue being creative and present entertaining works in the midst of the pandemic.

"So this is the first time and hopefully it will be an inspiration for content creators that may be an opportunity for them. There is a pandemic but they can still do something that can provide a career for them," said Chairman of MNC Group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo.

TikTok Awards Indonesia 2020 became more lively with performances from a number of top Indonesian artists such as Agnes Monica, Tiara, Marion Jola, Jessica Bunga, Fahmi Shahab, Weird Genius, Novia Bachmid, Tian Storm & Ever SLKR, Putih Abu Abu, Asyraf Jamal, and many others.

The TikTok Awards Indonesia 2020 stage also welcomed the phenomenal husband and wife couple from the soap opera Ikatan Cinta, Arya Saloka and Amanda Manopo. It seems that they also played one of the TikTok contents that are currently popular among the people.
