Kapanlagi.com - Justin Frederick, the sibling of artist Verlita Evelyn, became a victim of assault on the Gatot Subroto toll road on Saturday (4/6). As a result of the incident, Justin suffered bruises on his face and body.
During a press conference at Krimum Polda Metro Jaya on Monday (6/6), Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan, the Head of Public Relations, revealed the injuries suffered by Justin Frederick and his current condition.
"Among them are swelling in both eyeballs resulting in redness under the eyelids, bleeding from the nose, bruises on the right side of the neck, swollen lips, bruises on the right armpit, bruises on the left side of the back, and an injured right ring finger," said Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan.
Endra Zulpan also revealed the motive behind the assault. The perpetrator, named Faisal Marasabessy, was provoked after the car he was driving collided with Verlita Evelyn's sister's car.
"The motive behind this incident is that the perpetrator was emotional due to the collision with the victim's car," he said.
Furthermore, to follow up on this case, the police have investigated the incident through the viral video evidence on social media. The perpetrator is facing a serious punishment of nine years in prison for his actions.
"Regarding this case, the Metro Jaya Regional Police have taken steps to study the video evidence and examine the victim," he explained.
"The charged articles are Article 351 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 170 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum prison sentence of 9 years," he concluded.
