Masayu shared the sad news and the funeral procession of the late Doni through her Instagram social media. She expressed her deep sorrow for the departure of the former Head of the National Disaster Management Agency or BNPB at the age of 60.

Not only that, Masayu also uploaded pictures of her moments together with the late Doni who had preceded her. She also mentioned that Masayu accompanied Doni's departure when he took his last breath.

Masayu Anastasia is one of the family members of Lieutenant General (Ret.) Doni Monardo who feels devastated by the departure of her cousin. She shared the news of the late's death through her Instagram social media.

“Our brother has returned to Allah's mercy.. Lieutenant General (Ret.) DR HC Doni Monardo, (Born on May 10, 1963) on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 17:35 WIB,” she wrote.

“Oh Allah, forgive him, bestow mercy upon him, save him, forgive him, and place him in a noble place (Heaven), expand his grave, wash him with snow and ice water,” she wrote.

Hearing the sad news from the family certainly makes anyone who feels it sad and devastated. The same goes for Masayu. In fact, she witnessed firsthand the moments when the deceased took their last breath.

“Darling..brother passed away. I saw it 3 times in front of my eyes. My dad, your dad, and brother,” she wrote in the shared conversation excerpt.

Masayu also mentioned that Doni's condition continued to deteriorate to the point where medical aids had to be removed. Only after that, Masayu was able to enter the room where Doni lay.

Masayu also attended the funeral home for the final respects. She shared photos of the deceased framed in a picture frame.

“Goodbye, Brother.. Rest in peace.. salam komando,” she wrote.

Doni Monardo passed away at Siloam Semanggi Hospital, Jakarta, on Sunday (3/12/2023). Previously, Doni had been hospitalized due to illness.

Reported from News Liputan6.com, the body of Doni Monardo was buried in Kalibata Heroes Cemetery, South Jakarta, on Monday (4/12/2023). However, before being buried, the late Doni was taken to Mako Kopassus East Jakarta.

"The body was buried in Kalibata Heroes Cemetery," said Bambang Irianto, Representative of the Indonesian Army Retired Personnel Association (PPAD) Brigadier General (Ret) Bambang Irianto when confirmed last Sunday.
