Controversial Ikoy-Ikoyan Trend, Anang Hermansyah's Opinion

Kapanlagi.com - The term ikoy-ikoyan popularized by Arief Muhammad has suddenly gone viral on social media. The action taken by Tiara Pangestika's husband is actually giving gifts for free to his followers. This trend has also been followed by several influencers and other artists.

Although many people are joining in, there are also many artists who oppose this action. Their reason is that this action is the same as teaching the public to beg. Besides, they also feel that there are still many other people out there who are more in need but are not seen on social media.

Responding to the controversy of this ikoy-ikoyan action, Anang Hermansyah also spoke up. According to Ashanty's husband, it all comes back to each individual's intention and doesn't need to be made a fuss, especially in this pandemic situation.

"Everything goes back to intention. If we argue about this in difficult times like this, it's all the same," said Anang Hermansyah in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/7).

Instead of getting involved in the current controversy, Anang chooses to respond wisely. He wants everyone to always think positively. For him, it's okay if someone wants to do ikoy-ikoyan action, as long as their intentions are good.

"My hope is for everyone to have positive thinking, and those who are capable should help those who are not. Our abilities are limited, so it's up to our unity. At least we can all help and assist each other. Agree, as long as we are willing to share good intentions, agree," he concluded.

As known, some Indonesian artists before this strongly opposed the ikoy-ikoyan action. Not because they don't want to share, but according to them, it is better to do good deeds to the right target, not to random people.
