Controversy Surrounding Youtuber Indira Khalista, Her Husband's Track Record Becomes the Focus of Netizens

Receiving a lot of criticism and backlash, her husband, Gustaf Sailendra, or commonly known as Aa Utap, immediately defended his wife. He mentioned that people just don't know about his wife.

The defense from her husband eventually went viral, as Indira's name never left the trending topic on Twitter. As a result, Gustaf's track record was exposed by netizens on Twitter.

1. Making Vlogs at McD During Jakarta PSBB

The origin of the discussion about Utap on Twitter and becoming the target of netizens comes from a tweet by the account @fauzsadad. In the tweet, he sarcastically refers to those YouTubers who prioritize content over preventing the spread of the coronavirus.

This sarcasm was directed at Gustaf and Indira, who visited the McDonald's Sarinah outlet that was supposed to be closed due to the PSBB situation. Utap, feeling offended, eventually responded to the tweet.

"By the way, have you provided food/support for how many people during this COVID? Hopefully more than me, bro. Amen." he said.

Shortly after that, Utap's tweet immediately received numerous replies from netizens. Criticisms and insults flooded his tweet.

2. Previous Traffic Violation

As a result, one netizen with the account name @fitinagustin uploaded a screenshot of news about Gustaf intentionally violating the rules.

In December 2017, Gustaf drew attention because he, along with his friends, violated traffic regulations. The incident began when they were about to make a U-turn. Instead of finding a safe U-turn spot, their car made a U-turn right in front of a no U-turn sign.

"We can't make a right turn?" someone in the car asked.

"Yes, you can, you can, you can. Let me instruct. Ah, come on. Don't you know Aa Utap Youtuber with 350K subscribers?," Utap replied.

However, he has already clarified and apologized for his actions. 

3. Naughty Chat Utap

Not finished yet, Gustaf's track record resurfaced. Twitter user with the account name @shifanzm uploaded a screenshot containing naughty chat from Indira Khalista's husband. 

And true enough, the tweet immediately sparked various reactions from netizens. Some defended but many also criticized. According to netizens, such behavior is inappropriate for an influencer with many followers. 

4. Not Confirmed

As of the time this news was uploaded, there is still no clarification from Gusta Sailendra or Indira Khalista. Looking at his social media, Gustaf does not seem to respond to the tweet about him. 

The same goes for his wife, Indira Khalista, who has also not given any response about her husband.
