David NOAH Absent, Rp 1.1 Billion Embezzlement Case Mediation Has Not Succeeded

Kapanlagi.com - NOAH band keyboardist, David Kurnia Albert Dorfel, was unable to attend the mediation agenda facilitated by the Jakarta Metro Police to resolve the alleged embezzlement case involving Rp 1.1 billion that implicated him. In the mediation agenda held at the Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit on Monday (30/8), David NOAH was only represented by his legal team.

Meanwhile, Lina Yunita as the complainant attended accompanied by her legal counsel, Devi Waluyo. Although David NOAH was only represented by his legal team, the mediation still proceeded as planned.

"Alhamdulillah, today there was a meeting with the lawyer of the accused, for the principle itself, he did not attend, he said he had the flu. So, that's it. We have discussed the settlement," said Devi Waluyo.

Unfortunately, David's absence at the mediation resulted in no agreement being reached. "We still haven't reached an agreed amount. Well, basically there is a figure that has not been agreed upon, it hasn't matched, there are considerations from both sides," she added.

Furthermore, Devi Waluyo stated that the Jakarta Metropolitan Police still gives time to her client, "Given time until Friday (3/8). We are waiting for their response. Whether we will meet in person or communicate over the phone. Hopefully, it can be resolved by Friday, and peace can be achieved."

As known, the case involving David started when David and his two friends asked for assistance from Lina Yunita. They requested funds for a shipbuilding project at her company, PT A, in 2019, amounting to Rp 1.150 billion.

David and his two friends promised to repay the money within 3 to 6 months. However, until the agreed deadline, David and his two friends have not returned the money.

As a result, David and his two friends were reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police. The report against David is registered with Number: LP/B/3761/VII/2021/SPKT Jakarta Metropolitan Police, dated August 5, 2021. David and his friends were reported under Article 372 of the Criminal Code and Article 378 of the Criminal Code.
