Police Strive for Peaceful Resolution in David NOAH Case

Kapanlagi.com - Jakarta Metropolitan Police is implementing restorative justice in handling the case involving Band NOAH member, David Kurnia Albert Dorfel.

Therefore, the police have summoned both the complainant and the accused to attend a mediation session on Monday (30/8/2021).

"Because of David's admission that some payments have been made, we need to bring them together now to find out the nature of the case and the outcome of the meeting," said Jakarta Metropolitan Police Public Relations Division Head, Commissioner Yusri Yunus, on Monday (30/8/2021).

The police hope that from this meeting, both parties can reach a mutual agreement for reconciliation.

"Our hope is that through this mediation, there will be a settlement with the condition that the complainant's money is returned. Once an agreement is reached, we will proceed with restorative justice," said Yusri Yunus.

1. Unable to Attend

Unfortunately, David is unable to attend. Only Lina Yunita's party is present accompanied by her legal representative.

"The reporter came, but brother D was represented by his lawyer because he was sick, so he couldn't attend," said Yusri.

As is known, the case involving David began when David and his two friends asked for assistance from Lina Yunita as the reporter to fund a shipbuilding project at his company, PT A, in 2019 worth 1.15 billion.

David and his two friends promised to repay the money within 3-6 months. However, David and his two friends have not yet returned the money.

As a result, David and his two friends were reported to the Metro Jaya Regional Police. The report against David is registered with Number: LP/B/3761/VII/2021/SPKT Metro Jaya Regional Police, dated August 5, 2021. David and his friend were reported under Article 372 of the Criminal Code and Article 378 of the Criminal Code.
