The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, said that YA is currently at the police station. The man will undergo questioning as a suspect.
"The suspect is already at the police station. Health examination has been conducted and after lunch, Friday prayer, the process of taking statements will continue. He will be questioned as a suspect," said Commissioner Pol Ade Ary when met by the media on Friday (9/2/2024).

"Based on sufficient evidence and the suspect's status determined through a case conference, this morning Mr. YA was arrested by investigators at his rented house in Pondok Kelapa, East Jakarta. The suspect, YA, was arrested while sleeping. The investigators were accompanied by the neighborhood chief and local security personnel during the arrest," added Commissioner Pol Ade Ary.
During the arrest process, the suspect, YA, showed a cooperative attitude. After hearing the explanation and receiving the arrest warrant, he agreed to be taken to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police for further proceedings.
"After being informed of the purpose and the arrival of the investigators, and after being shown the arrest warrant, the suspect, YA, cooperatively accompanied the investigators to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police," explained Commissioner Pol Ade Ary.
For his actions, YA is charged under Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, and/or Article 340 of the Criminal Code, and/or Article 338 of the Criminal Code, and/or Article 359 of the Criminal Code.
