Declared Guilty, ART Nindy Ayunda Sentenced to 6 Months in Prison & Fine of 30 Million

Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the assault case with defendant Lia Karyati was held again at the South Jakarta District Court with a verdict agenda. Former ART Nindy Ayunda was found guilty and sentenced to 6 months in prison.

"Imposing a sentence on the defendant with a six-month prison sentence," said the presiding judge during the trial on Tuesday (12/4).

1. Fine of 30 Million

In addition, the judge also imposed a fine of Rp 30 million or 1 month in prison subsidy. Of course, the 6-month prison sentence has been reduced by the detention period that Lia has undergone.

"A fine of 30 million if not paid will be replaced with one month's imprisonment," said the judge.

2. Lighter Sentence Than Demand

The 6-month imprisonment sentence is lighter than the demand of the public prosecutor who requested 7 months of imprisonment from the judge. The judge stated that the defendant's actions caused trauma to Nindy Ayunda's child, which aggravated the situation. As a caregiver, Lia should have provided love and care to her child.

"The defendant's mitigating circumstances are that she feels guilty, admits to all her actions, has apologized, and has never been punished before, and is currently 8 months pregnant," explained the judge.

3. Accepting Verdict

After the verdict was read, the judge asked for Lia's response, who was present virtually from Rutan Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta. Whether she accepts, rejects, or needs time to think.

"I accept, Your Honor," Lia firmly replied.

4. Waiting for Prosecutor's Response

On the other hand, the public prosecutor will consider the verdict given to Lia. The judge gave a week's time for the prosecutor to respond.
