Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the distribution of Rebecca Klopper's obscene video with the suspect Bayu Firlen was held at the South Jakarta District Court with the verdict agenda. Unlike before, this trial is now open to the public. The panel of judges declared Bayu guilty for disseminating the obscene video. Bayu was sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of Rp 1 billion.
"Declaring the defendant Bayu Firlen guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, imposing a prison sentence of 3 years and a fine of Rp 1 billion," said the panel of judges in the trial held at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (18/1/2024).
If Bayu cannot pay the fine of 1 billion, it will be replaced with a prison term of four months.
"With the provision that if the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with a prison term of 4 months," said the panel of judges.

The panel of judges gave Bayu the opportunity to accept, reject, or reconsider the punishment that had been imposed. Bayu discussed it with his legal team.
After some time of discussion, Bayu immediately responded. He chose to accept the imposed punishment, which was three years of imprisonment and a fine of Rp1 billion.
"Accepted," said Bayu Firlen.

The Public Prosecutor's Office (JPU) was also asked the same question as Bayu. Although it did not match their demand of 4 years of imprisonment, they accepted the verdict.
"Because the prosecutor accepts the verdict, the verdict now has legal force," concluded the panel of judges, ending the trial by striking the gavel three times.
