Declared Guilty of Fraud Case, Nia Daniaty's Daughter Demanded 3.5 Years in Prison by Prosecutor

Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the fake CPNS recruitment case with defendant Olivia Nathania, Nia Daniaty's daughter, was held at the South Jakarta District Court with the demand agenda from the Public Prosecutor (JPU). The prosecutor stated that Olivia was guilty in the fraud case.

Furthermore, the JPU also asked the judges to sentence Olivia Nathania to 3.5 years in prison, minus the detention period.

"Stating that Olivia Nathania be sentenced to 3 years and 6 months, reduced by the detention period already served," said Prosecutor Pratiwi Kusuma when reading the demand in the trial at the South Jakarta District Court, today, Monday (14/3).

The prosecutor also stated aggravating and mitigating factors for the woman known as Oi. Eventually, the prosecutor decided to demand 3.5 years of imprisonment.

"The aggravating factors are because it caused a loss of Rp 637 million, disturbed the public, and caused distrust towards related institutions," said Pratiwi Kusuma.

"The mitigating factors are because the defendant behaved well during the trial and regretted her actions," added Pratiwi Kusuma.

2. Chronology of Fraud Case

As is known, Olivia Nathania and her husband, Rafly Novianto Tilaar, were reported for alleged fraud under the guise of CPNS recruitment on September 23, 2021. Oi was declared a suspect on November 11, 2021.

Her husband's status was only as a witness because he was not proven to be involved in the case that had harmed around 225 people with total losses reaching Rp 9.7 billion.

3. No Witnesses Present at Trial

Previously, Olivia Nathania's legal team planned to bring in 3 witnesses to lighten the defendant's sentence. Unfortunately, none of the three individuals were present at the trial.

"We have tried our best but no honorable witnesses were present," said Andy Mulia Siregar, Oi's legal representative in the courtroom on Thursday (10/3).

4. Nia Daniaty Absent

One of the witnesses that Oi wanted to bring in was her own mother, Nia Daniaty. Unfortunately, Farhat Abbas' ex-wife was unable to attend due to illness.

"I'm sorry, but Ms. Nia cannot attend due to poor health," said Susanti Agustina, Oi's legal representative.
