The candidate pair for the Regent and Deputy Regent of Pemalang number 1, Vicky Prasetyo and Suwendi, must accept defeat in the quick count results. In his post on Instagram, Vicky Prasetyo expressed his apologies to the people of Pemalang and the volunteers who supported him throughout the campaign.
Vicky Prasetyo expressed his disappointment and sadness after learning the results of the Pemalang Election, which showed the candidate pair number 3, Anom Widiyantoro and Nurkholes (AnNur), achieving victory. In his post, Vicky also touched on the issue of money politics, which he believes was one of the factors contributing to his defeat.
"Programs and sincerity will be defeated by money... That is politics, I have tried my best to change it, but everything has already become the decision of the battle results," wrote Vicky in a video he shared on his Instagram on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

In his post, Vicky Prasetyo thanked all the supporters and volunteers who have supported him during the Pemalang 2024 regional election. He also feels proud because even though he did not win, he has succeeded in introducing Pemalang more broadly to the Indonesian public.
"Thank you to all the supporting team and the people of Pemalang. I apologize for not being able to bring Pemalang to victory and make it better... at least I have introduced more, and made Pemalang known in our country," he wrote. Vicky also expressed his sadness because he has to part ways with the people of Pemalang after a campaign period that was quite close to the local residents.

Vicky does not turn a blind eye to the existence of money politics that he claims has influenced the results of the Pemalang 2024 regional election. According to him, even though he has offered various programs for the advancement of Pemalang, the results ultimately defeated what he calls "sincerity" in politics. In his post, he stated that money politics has overshadowed the programs he offered during the campaign.
"Programs and sincerity will be defeated by money... That’s politics, I have tried my best to change it but everything has become the decision of the battle results," he continued. Vicky finds it hard to accept this reality, as he feels he has worked hard to give the best for Pemalang.

Not only Vicky feels this sadness, but his child, Nabella Gabrella, also expressed her support for Vicky's hard work in the 2024 Pemalang Regional Election. In a post on Instagram, Nabella thanked all the supporters of the Pemalang Revolution team, who she believes have bravely voiced their rejection of money politics. Nabella also hopes that Pemalang can continue to develop even if the results of the 2024 Regional Election do not meet expectations.
"Thank you to all TEAM REVOLUSI PEMALANG, you are amazing for bravely voicing against MONEY POLITICS. Pemalang, now you are famous, I hope your development accelerates quickly," Nabella stated on Instagram.

Nevertheless, there are also those who continue to support Vicky and hope for a better future for Pemalang.
