This film features the conclusion of the third season of DEMON SLAYER as well as the first episode of the fourth season.
DEMON SLAYER or KIMETSU NO YAIBA itself tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado. After his sister, Nezuko Kamado, was turned into a demon and his family was killed, Tanjiro is determined to find a cure to restore Nezuko's humanity. He then joins the demon slayer corps to achieve his goal.

The third season of the series DEMON SLAYER presents the Swordsmith Village Arc. Tanjiro and Nezuko go to the Swordsmith Village to repair the damaged Haganezuka sword. In the village, Tanjiro meets Genya Shinazugawa, Mitsuri Kanroji, and Muichiro Tokito, who are also demon slayers.
At the same time, Demon Upper Rank Five Gyokko and Demon Upper Rank Four Hantengu infiltrate the Swordsmith Village. Tanjiro and the other three demon slayers then fight against Gyokko and Hantengu. This third season ends with the victory of the demon slayers and Nezuko gaining immunity to sunlight.

In the fourth season, Tanjiro and Nezuko's story will continue in the Hashira Training Arc. To prepare for the upcoming battle, Tanjiro intends to train with Gyomei Himejima. He is a stone hashira and known as the strongest member of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Unfortunately, gaining Himejima's approval for training is not easy, almost impossible. Not to mention the training that will be incredibly tough and intense. Meanwhile, the demon king Muzan continues to hunt Nezuko and Ubuyashiki.

The fourth season of DEMON SLAYER will also feature all of the hashira. There are several remaining hashira, namely Gyomei Himejima, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Obanai Iguro, Muichiro Tokito, Shinobu Kocho, and Mitsuri Kanroji. The six strongest pillars of the Demon Slayer Corps are seen holding a meeting to discuss the upcoming major battle.
In addition to the six mentioned hashira, the voice hashira Uzui Tengen will also return. After fighting against Upper Rank Six Gyutaro, Uzui Tengen decided to retire early. However, in this fourth season, Uzui Tengen joins in training Tanjiro Kamado and his friends.
Meanwhile, the water hashira Giyu is experiencing inner conflict. Giyu, who appears cold and antisocial, turns out to have a mysterious past. Later on, Tanjiro will have many conversations with Giyu and reveal his incredibly mysterious past.

DEMON SLAYER Season 4 will be part of the spring 2024 anime lineup. The first episode will exclusively air on Crunchyroll on May 12, 2024. This information was announced through Crunchyroll's press release on Friday, April 12, 2024.
