Adding another must-watch Japanese anime film to the list in 2024, KLovers. Studio Colorido, as the production house, has just announced the release schedule of their fourth anime titled MY ONI GIRL as a feature film. Not stopping there, Studio Colorido also released the official poster and trailer of MY ONI GIRL on the same day.

MY ONI GIRL is the latest work directed by Tomotaka Shibayama, who also directed a popular anime titled A WHISKER AWAY (2020). With a light-hearted story, MY ONI GIRL will take the audience on an adventure following a pair of friends from different entities.

Specifically, this anime will be released in Japanese cinemas and can be officially streamed on Netflix on May 24, 2024.

MY ONI GIRL tells the story of a boy named Hiiragi Yatsuse who is still in his first year of high school. In his school, Hiiragi Yatsuse doesn't have many friends because he is disliked. Because of this, Hiiragi Yatsuse has difficulty blending in and making friends with others. However, unexpectedly, Hiiragi Yatsuse meets an oni or a demon girl named Tsumugi who is searching for her mother on Earth.

Although Hiiragi Yatsuse and Tsumugi come from different entities, they both feel compatibility and comfort in their friendship. Having a perfect chemistry, the two of them eventually embark on many exciting adventures together. And since then, Hiiragi Yatsuse's life has changed. He is no longer a gloomy child, but rather he is happy enjoying moments of togetherness with the demon girl.
