The peace effort through mediation between singer Denada Elizabeth Anggia Ayu Tambunan and her plaintiff, Ressa Rizky Rossano, has reached a dead end. The mediation agenda held at the Banyuwangi District Court ended without agreement because the defendant was not present in person.

Denada's absence in this trial caused the mediation process to be declared a failure by the court. With the end of this mediation period, the trial will soon enter the agenda of reading the lawsuit or the main case. Denada's attorney, Muhammad Iqbal, confirmed that the hearing was only attended by each legal representative.

"Earlier, the mediation involved the legal representatives of both the plaintiff and the defendant, in this case, myself and my colleagues. The process went quite smoothly, but unfortunately, the mediation failed," said Muhammad Iqbal, Thursday (29/1/2026).

The legal representatives expressed regret over the failure of the mediation. According to them, there were several actions from the plaintiff that actually exacerbated the situation during the calm period of the mediation. This is considered to be the trigger for the difficulty in reaching a consensus between both parties.

"However, there are several things that I need to emphasize in this mediation, which is quite unfortunate. Yesterday, you contacted me, which might have been difficult, perhaps for my colleagues or whoever tried to reach me, it might have been challenging," he said.

"Indeed, in mediation, I prioritize what, yes, a quiet period like that, Sir. I hope the parties reflect on themselves, and then initiatives arise for mutual communication so that they can find a point of peace," added Iqbal.

The disappointment of Denada's side has escalated as Ressa Rizky is considered to frequently appear in various social media content. The defendants believe that what is conveyed in the public space does not align with the actual facts occurring on the ground.

"What I regret here is that the plaintiff is actually causing a commotion, which I think, podcasts everywhere, talking this and that, yes, it doesn't correspond to the facts. So in the end, mediation also fails," he asserted.

For the next step, the court will schedule a reading of the main case material.
