Denada and Shakira Isolate Themselves in Singapore to Avoid the Spread of the Coronavirus

Kapanlagi.com - For the past year, Denada has been living in Singapore to accompany her beloved daughter, Shakira Aurum, who is currently undergoing intensive treatment for leukemia. In the midst of her difficult time, Denada now has to be more careful as the coronavirus outbreak has also reached Singapore.

Like most people, Denada and her daughter, now called Aisha, have chosen to isolate themselves. They only go out if there is a truly urgent matter, such as Aisha's check-up schedule at the hospital.

"Self-isolation #stayathome. For me and Aisha (for those who don't know, SHAKIRA is now called AISHA), we started doing it since the end of January, when the #covid19 cases started to appear in Singapore. We MAXIMIZE OUR EFFORTS to not leave our apartment, except for going to the hospital for Aisha's treatment appointments or if there are other unavoidable needs. We don't go to crowded places, don't hang out, don't go to malls, don't go anywhere, don't eat out, don't meet anyone. Even when we're outside, we minimize interaction with other people," Denada wrote in the caption of her latest Instagram post.

1. Take it Seriously

As known, those who are infected with the coronavirus do have a high chance of recovery. However, the recovery percentage differs for each person, where those with pre-existing conditions have a smaller chance of recovery.

"For us, this is very important. The important information I obtained is that there are several conditions in which people can have a greater and more severe impact if infected with this virus. Among them are people who have pre-existing health problems (specific illnesses), and people who have a weaker immune system (such as those undergoing chemotherapy treatment). And this is what makes me realize that I have to take this seriously," she continued.

2. Willing to Cancel Jobs

Denada even had to sacrifice some of her jobs because of this coronavirus. Although she actually needs them, she chooses not to be selfish and prioritize her own safety and the safety of others around her.

"That's how serious it is, so I decided to cancel all my jobs (which I actually really, really need). I realize that I have to take care of myself because I am the one taking care of my child. But what's equally important is that I must not endanger the safety of my child and endanger the safety of those who live and are close to me, as well as the surrounding community," added the 41-year-old woman.

3. Message from Denada

Denada also reminded her followers to stay at home as much as possible. Because with this small act, everyone can contribute to fighting the spread of the corona virus.
