Arsy Widianto Releases 'Cerita Cinta', a 90s Hit Single Composed by His Father

Kapanlagi.com - After previously releasing 2 duet singles, Arsy Widianto is now presenting himself in a solo format through his latest single, Cerita Cinta (Love Story). Some of you may already be familiar with the title, as this song is a recycle of a 90s hit song by Kahitna. Interestingly, Cerita Cinta is actually composed by Yovie Widianto, who is none other than Arsy's biological father.

Arsy's new version of the single Cerita Cinta is released under the record label Universal Music Indonesia. As additional information, Cerita Cinta is a hit single from Kahitna's first album of the same title, released back in 1994.

Yovie himself is still involved in the arrangement of this new version of Cerita Cinta. Without intending to compare, Yovie stated that both versions of Cerita Cinta have their own strengths. Although different versions, the pattern and composition of Cerita Cinta itself have not undergone significant changes, making it still pleasing to the ears of music lovers.

Meanwhile, in terms of lyrics, Yovie and Arsy decided not to make any changes. Like the title of the song, 'Cerita Cinta' tells a sweet, simple, and relatable love story that reflects everyday life.

2. Not Just Riding on Yovie's Popularity

As additional information, Arsy Widianto (together with Brisia Jodie) once won the Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) Awards 2018 for the Best Duo/Group/Vocal Group/Pop Collaboration category. So it should be noted that Arsy is not just a singer who takes advantage of his parents' popularity. He was indeed born with great talent.
