Fortunately, Denada's possessive nature does not make her child feel constrained or uncomfortable. This mutual relationship makes Denada feel more at ease.
"Oh definitely, for sure. Especially with a daughter, she can be very possessive. But I think it's still within a reasonable stage. And what I like is that she enjoys being possessive. Because she is also quite possessive towards me," Denada said in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, recently.
It turns out that the possessive nature does not only come from the parents, but Aisha also shows a similar curiosity and attention towards her mother. This creates a unique closeness between the two.
However, Denada does not deny that sometimes small debates arise between them. This is considered normal given that Aisha has started to have her own preferences and choices in life. Nevertheless, Denada continues to strive to keep her supervision within a healthy boundary.
"Definitely, definitely. In debates like that, there will always be some. At the age of 13, a child surely has their own choices and preferences that might sometimes differ from what I want," she said.
Until now, Denada feels grateful because Aisha is still open and willing to listen to her guidance. She continues to monitor her daughter's friendships and school environment to ensure Aisha grows up in a positive environment.
