Denada became the center of public attention after her emotional moment on a live broadcast event on a private television station. The incident occurred while Denada was sitting as a judge alongside her colleagues, Caren Delano and Iis Dahlia, with Irfan Hakim as the host.

A 19-year-old contestant performed with what was deemed an unstable performance and missed many notes, while the other two judges simultaneously pressed the buzzer indicating the contestant did not pass. The situation became emotional when Irfan Hakim, as the host, asked Denada why she did not press the buzzer, even though she herself admitted that the participant's performance was not perfect.

Without answering, Denada instead cried sobbing in the middle of the live broadcast. She could only say, "Because I want to..." said Denada while covering her face.
